At Taylor’s Schools, education is more than a pathway to academic success, it is a gateway to the world. Under the leadership of our President and CEO, Angelina Tee, we are embarking on a dynamic chapter of growth designed to bring our unique educational ecosystem to more families across Southeast Asia.

In a recent interview with Tes Magazine, Angelina outlined a bold roadmap for our group. With a strong foundation across our six premier institutions, which include Garden International School, Nexus International School Malaysia, Nexus International School Singapore, Australian International School Malaysia, and Taylor’s International School Kuala Lumpur and Puchong, the stage is set for regional expansion.

Expanding Our Footprint Across Asia

Drawing on her background in mergers and acquisitions within the educational sector, Angelina is leading Taylor’s Schools into new territories with agility and precision. Our strategy aims to establish a portfolio of 15 schools across the region over the next few years:

  • Thailand: Entering Bangkok with the planned acquisition of three schools owned by families, catering to kindergarten through Year 9.
  • Vietnam: Establishing a presence in the vibrant hubs of Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City by 2027.
  • Core Markets: Continuing to deepen our impact and innovative offerings within Malaysia and Singapore.

While markets like Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City feature an array of traditional British brands, Taylor’s Schools offers a clear point of divergence.

Developing the Whole Child

True success in the modern world requires skills that cannot be memorised from a textbook. Angelina notes that top academic marks are only half the equation, as true capability shines when students encounter the unscripted.

“You need to be committed, you need to be disciplined, you need to be able to work in a team, you need to be able to lead, you need to be able to recover from failure. We do not emphasise the importance of these skills enough until we see children that do not have them.” Angelina Tee, President and CEO

To foster these critical traits, Taylor’s Schools is focusing on:

  • Enhanced Arts and Sports: Continually upgrading our sporting and performing arts programmes.
  • Outdoor Education Campuses: A visionary initiative to build dedicated outdoor campuses away from the city. Here, students will step out of their comfort zones, disconnect from digital noise, and build resilience through teamwork.

Empowering Female Leadership

As one of the first female CEOs of an international school group in Asia, Angelina is deeply committed to creating pathways for others to rise. As a mother of three daughters, she believes that breaking the glass ceiling is not about being the first, but about ensuring that many more can follow. To support this vision, Taylor’s Schools has introduced an aspiring principals programme to encourage internal promotion. This commitment to diversity is reflected at the highest levels, with four of our schools currently led by women, alongside a corporate executive team of strong female leaders.

A Generational Commitment to Quality

As a group owned by a family, Taylor’s Schools operates under a fundamentally different philosophy than organisations backed by private equity. We are a group that operates for profit, but we are never driven by it.

We measure our milestones in generations rather than quarters. Our commitment to our community is absolute. We will expand our horizons across Asia, but we will never compromise the premium quality, care, and academic integrity that define the Taylor’s name.
